Aims and Donations
:: The primary aim is to help the disabled and those needing assistance to return to fishing. Nationally we will collect and collate names and contact numbers of people needing our help and assistance, and people willing to give that assistance. These will be cross referenced and introduced through the "Buddy" system register.

:: The secondary aim is to offer advice and guidance in general to fisheries and venues in regards to access and suitability for the disabled angler. Where appropriate we will refer them to an appropriate advisory agency in their area.

:: The third aim is to (where ever possible) promote angling as a healthy, beneficial pastime for everyone, regardless of experience or ability. This will be done by supporting less privileged groups enabling them to participate in organised events. This will be done by offering to conduct "Angling for all" seminars to schools and youth clubs.By offering to conduct "Angling for all - It can be done" seminars and demonstrations to disabled clubs and assiciations.

::Please help us to make a difference, your donation will be put to good use no matter how big or small. Thank you.

The Birch is a syndicate water near Newport South Wales and is run by Martin Cronin. I first met Martin a couple of years ago now when I took part in the Welsh Carp Masters.

We got chatting and he liked what I was doing with Reels on Wheels and our friendship grew from there.

The guys who use the Birch are the nicest people I have ever met….always willing to help out with anything I am doing down that way and to make sure I get to a swim ok with all my gear.

I love to fish the Birch…it’s very exposed but holds some fantastic fish that are cared for. I have had a couple of nice fish out of there including a nice 19lb + simmo and the last fish I had was a 23lb common.

I took my wife there for some Pike fishing as she had never tried for Pike…her first ever Pike below weighed in at 14lb+

Martin also has a couple of smaller lakes there for day fishing and they all contain carp up to about 20lb plus barbel, bream and F1’s, the sport can be hot on the day waters…I had 48lb of fish in 2hrs just messing about now I know that wont happen all the time but it is a great place to have some fun.

There is also the Lodge where you can get a fantastic breakfast and cups of hot steaming tea if its wet and windy outside.

So if your ever down in South Wales go check out the place….

You can find more details of where it is by clicking HERE
